PROPOSALS

This refurbishment of the hotel and residential development project will provide brand new accommodation and facilities, helping to boost Ashby de la Zouch as a vibrant place for people to visit, live, work, shop and relax.

The proposed refurbishment and development will include:

  • A total refurbishment of the Grade II listed Royal Hotel on Station Road, resulting in reopening with 29 stylish rooms with ensuites
  • 44 senior living apartments
  • 35 terrace apartments
  • A new cafe kiosk within the grounds of the Royal Hotel to serve the Bath Grounds
  • 5 family houses on 1.2 acres
  • The freehold of Bath Ground gifted to ATC, enabling opportunities for improved pavilions at the Cricket and Bowls Clubs.
  • ATC to be gifted 12.5 acres of the Bath Grounds.

 

The reopening of the hotel is expected to generate many jobs and would create amenities and living spaces that will attract new visitors to the area. The development would help to further stimulate growth and draw custom to existing local businesses in Ashby de la Zouch’s town centre and the Bath Grounds.
